>The article is titled: The Fear Factor: Women Continue To Shy Away From Hormone Therapy (subscription required). The venue is the Wall Street Journal and the content is dated, repetitive and lacking in much needed information.

>

>The physician quoted in the article, Wolf Utian, Executive Director of the North American Menopause Society (the uniquely pharmaceutically sponsored organization that claims to represent what gynecologists need to know to help menopausal women) misses its mission and offers no help.

>

>The statistical data in the article is old and of no use to the millions of women who are confused and growing ever more desperate with the present state of useless information and lack of solutions or support from the medical profession they no longer trust.

>

>Okay, we know synthetic hormones are not the answer. So why are we beating a dead horse into the ground? Where are other options? The ones called bioidentical hormones, the ones with molecular formulas identical to the human hormones?

>

>They are hidden under a cloud of doubt and behind a lexicon of medical mumbo jumbo because Wyeth has invested billions to confuse the public and the medical profession.

>

>The longer women and doctors are confused and splintered, the more money is spent on synthetic hormones and the longer fear of hormones reigns supreme.

>And yes, the Wall Street Journal is correct, we are treating women with antidepressants for hot flashes and drugs to prevent osteoporosis that certainly will never work as well as bioidentical hormones do.

>All because no large enterprise wants to take responsibility for helping women feel better by giving them bioidentical hormones and teaching them how to take control over their bodies and health for a guaranteed better outcome.

>Bioidentical hormones are in the PDR, they are FDA approved, hundreds of thousands of women use them with great results and they have for well over a decade. They are not witchcraft, they are prescription medication yet no conventional venue even makes the attempt to establish the distinction between synthetic and bioidentical hormones.

>The time has come to stop the charade.

>I promise to do everything in my power to inform, educate and help women understand bioidentical hormones, their application, usefulness and the ways to integrate them into a well balanced, healthy happy and fear free life.   Ending confusion means sharing the truth.  There is a lot of information on the web about bioidentical hormones and many books on the topic.
