Dr. Robert Anderson received his medical degree from the University of Washington. One of the Founding Members of the American Holistic Medical Association, which was formed in 1978, he maintains a private practice in Edmonds, WA. He has served on staff at Stevens Memorial Hospital, Northwest Hospital, and Providence Hospital and has taught at the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine, Gonzaga University, Antioch University, City University, and Bastyr University, all in Washington. Dr. Anderson has given over 1600 lectures, classes and workshops about holistic medicine, wellness, stress management, nutrition, and psychoneuroimmunology. He serves on the advisory board of the medical journal, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, and is the author of The Scientific Basis for Holistic Medicine (American Health Press), The Clinician's Guide to Holistic Medicine (McGraw Hill), among others. Dr. Anderson was given the Distinguished Service Award in 1993 and the Holistic Pioneer Award in 1996 by the American Holistic Medical Association. He is a CME Director for InnoVision Communications and oversees medical education endeavors in the fields of anti-aging and holistic health.
