Free manicures, haircuts and blood-pressure screenings - it's not the latest spa treatment, it's a community resource fair for Clarke County families.
Set up as a one-stop shop for health, safety, job, education and other services, Saturday's free community development fair is designed to coordinate efforts that have happened on a smaller scale in Clarke County's public schools in the past, said Monica Knight, director of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant for the Clarke County School District.
''This is not just a school-based thing,'' said Knight, one of the event's organizers.
